The AOC C32G1 is a curved 32-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor. It has a curvature of 1800R and is based on a VA panel. It covers 122% of the sRGB color gamut and supports true 8-bit color depth.
The color accuracy of this monitor is excellent. It results in vibrant looking images. The quality of the wide range of colors displayed across the monitor is more than satisfactory. Playing games and watching movies will be a treat to the eyes. The curved screen adds more immersion to them.
The VA panels are known for their superior contrast levels. The AOC C32G1 has a contrast level of 3000:1. In a real-world scenario, the contract level exceeds that limit and is somewhere around 5800:1. This is higher than almost all monitors in the market. Even the high-end ones.
Such high contrast level will result in sharp and detailed images. The colors displayed on the monitor are more distinctive and pop out. The blacks appear darker and the whites appear brighter. Images also tend to have a certain depth to them making them appear ultra-realistic.
It has a brightness level of 250-nits. I felt that it should have had more brightness to make full use of the excellent contrast. Though the brightness rating is not as high, it should be sufficient for gaming and watching movies in a well-lit room.
The panel uniformity is fair. The colors appear consistent throughout the panel without too many ups and downs.
The AOC C32G1 has wide and relaxed viewing angles. You get 178-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. There won’t be any major shift in colors, brightness, and contrast levels even when you view the monitor from different angles.
It has a pixel density of 69PPI. It is decent enough for gaming and watching movies but if you’re planning on using this monitor for work, writing documents, reading books, coding, etc. I would not recommend it. You need a pixel density of 92PPI and better for such work.
The AOC C32G1 we reviewed had no dead pixels on it. It had slight bleeding towards its edges that is only visible when you’re in dark areas of a game or a movie. It is tolerable and doesn’t hinder your experience. It is also expected since it uses a VA panel.
There is an anti-glare coating on the monitor. It helps diffuse any reflections that form on it and will help your game without any distractions.
