The ASUS VA24DQ is a Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor. It is based on the IPS panel. It covers 99% of the sRGB color gamut and supports 8-bit color depth via dithering (6-bit + FRC).
The image quality of this monitor is excellent. You will have vibrant looking images with accurate colors. The IPS monitors are popular for their excellent color accuracy so this is not surprising. You can also use this monitor for entry-level photo and video editing.
It has a brightness level of 250-nits and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Despite having similar specs as most budget IPS monitors, the brightness of this monitor in real-life conditions is very high. I suggest you tone it down to reduce eye strain. The contrast level is decent enough to make colors look vivid and stand out from one another.
The panel uniformity of The ASUS VA24DQ is very good. The colors are consistent throughout the panel without any hiccups.
The IPS panels also have wide viewing angles. You won’t have any issues with washed-out colors as you see in TN panels with this monitor.
You get 178-degree wide and comfortable viewing angles with the ASUS VA24DQ. There won’t be any change in color, brightness, and contrast levels even when you view this monitor from different angles.
The ASUS VA24DQ has an optimal pixel density of 92PPI. You will not have any blurry text or images. Everything you see on the screen will be crisp-looking and full of detail. It is also easy on the eyes as you won’t have to squint them to view images or text on the monitor properly.
It has a matte anti-glare coating that will handle the reflections that form on it effectively. The monitor we reviewed had no dead pixels on it. There was also no major IPS glow observed on it.
Overall the image quality of the ASUS VA24DQ is very good. You will not have any issues with it when you use it for gaming, watching movies, and office work. The colors look pretty on it and result in life-like images.
